Virender Sehwag, who is well known for his humorous tweets, took a dig at English television presenter Piers Morgan after India won the Kabaddi World Cup on Saturday.
The former Indian opening batsman, who has a history of taking potshots at Morgan on Twitter, noted that India is winning World Cups in a sport which they invented while England are yet to win a World Cup in cricket.
India invented Kabaddi & r World Champs for 8th time.Elsewhere some country invented Cricket & r yet only good in correcting typos.#INDvIRN pic.twitter.com/IG9fucAMMo

India won the Kabaddi World Cup at Ahmedabad on Saturday, after defeating Iran 38-29. The Indians have won all three editions of the tournament that have been held so far.
On the other hand, England have never won the ICC Cricket World Cup in the 50-over format of the game. They have, though, won the ICC World T20 once – in 2010 under the captaincy of Paul Collingwood.
Morgan, in his reply, didn’t seem to be too appreciative of the feat, stating that he doesn’t take pride in being ‘world champions’ in smaller sports.
Mate, we invented Darts & Curling but I wouldn't boast about being 'World Champions' at them. https://t.co/4PIlEKubpD
