India defeated England by eight wickets in the third Test to take a 2-0 lead in the five-Test series at Mohali on Tuesday.
Resuming their innings on 78-4, still 56 runs behind in the second innings, England needed a miracle if they were to take anything from the game.
Joe Root and Haseeb Hameed notched up half-centuries, before the visitors were bowled out for 236, setting India a fourth innings target of 103 that they routinely chased down.
There was a lot praise for Virat Kohli’s men from former Indian cricketers, including the likes of VVS Laxman, Aakash Chopra and Mohammad Kaif.
Meanwhile, ex-England captain Michael Vaughan looked at the positives for England in the form of 19-year-old Hameed.
As expected, there was also a lot of talk surrounding the performances of Mohammed Shami, Hameed and Parthiv Patel on Twitter.

So much excaaite to see an Indian fast bowler dishing it out to batsmen, on Indian pitches. Shami is truly awesome.
