  • Abhinav Mukund.

Abhinav Mukund has been named as captain of the 14-man India A squad that will face Bangladesh in a warm-up match on February 4-5 in Secunderabad.

Jayant Yadav, who was an integral part of India’s Test team in their series win over England in late 2016 and spent a few weeks out due to injury, is part of the squad as he looks for match practice.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya was part of the Indian Test squad against England but did not play a single Test and he finds a place in this squad as he attempts to prove his mettle in the longest format of the game.

Young wicket-keepers Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan, who have impressed everyone over the last year, have been rewarded with a place in the India A squad.

After some top performances in the Ranji Trophy, Gujarat’s Priyank Panchal, Jharkhand’s Shahbaz Nadeem and Uttar Pradesh’s Kuldeep Yadav have also been included.
