  • Kohli has been mobbed by fans in the ongoing series.

There was yet another security breach during the India-West Indies Test series with a fan invading the pitch on the opening day of the Hyderabad Test.

A fan ran on to the pitch and tried to take a selfie with India captain Virat Kohli before attempting to kiss the Indian captain on Friday.

Kohli was fielding at mid-wicket in the first session when the fan ran on the field. However, according to reports it took security some time to reach the field and that gave the fan enough time to take a selfie and also embrace Kohli.

Security officers eventually overpowered the youngster and took him off the field. As the umpires called for a drinks break, Kohli seemed visibly upset.

It was the second incident such of the series after two fans invaded the pitch in an attempt to take selfies with Kohli during the first Test in Rajkot last week.

Both Kohli and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni have been the subject of numerous pitch invasions of late. During this year’s Indian Premier League, many fans invaded the ground during matches to click selfies with Kohli and Dhoni.
