  • Pakistan are all set to host Sri Lanka for six limited overs matches next month, it was announced on Friday.

In a joint statement from the Pakistan and Sri Lankan boards, it was announced that the ODI series will begin on September 27 in Karachi where the other two games will also be played on September 29 and October 2.

The islanders will then move to Lahore for three T20s starting on October 5 with the remaining games on October 7 and 9.

This will be Sri Lanka’s second tour of Pakistan since their team bus was attacked by militants during a Test match in Lahore in 2009.

Sri Lanka returned to Pakistan for a Twenty20 in Lahore in October 2017.

The teams were supposed to play two Tests but Sri Lanka’s sports minister Harin Fernando said those matches won’t be played in Pakistan.

    Pakistan-Sri Lanka series schedule:

    Sep 27: 1st ODI, Karachi

    Sep 29: 2nd ODI, Karachi

    Oct 2: 3rd ODI, Karachi

    Oct 5: 1st T20I, Lahore

    Oct 7: 2nd T20I, Lahore

    Oct 9: 3rd T20I, Lahore
