England‘s training session in Kandy on Monday got disrupted when a venomous cobra was spotted behind the pavilion.
The snake was spotted by groundstaff as the players netted in the middle and was safely collected using drain piping and a sack.
It added more drama to a day when spinner Liam Dawson was deemed doubtful for England’s third ODI.
The slow left-armer has a side complaint and did not join in with net practice as the tourists enjoyed a long workout at the Pallekele Stadium.
The England team put up a video of the snake being removed from the ground.
