India are in complete control and all set to go 1-0 ahead in the three-match Test series against New Zealand after another dominating all-round performance on Sunday.
Starting day four on 159/1 in their second innings, India lost the wickets of Murali Vijay, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara before lunch, but they were always in command.
Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja put on an unbeaten 100-run partnership for the sixth wicket, with both hitting half-centuries, before Kohli declared – setting New Zealand a target of 434.
New Zealand lost the wickets of Martin Guptill, Tom Latham, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor as they finished the day on 93/4. The Kiwis will have to do something special to not lose the match on day five.

The timing of declaration is unlikely to have an affect on the outcome of this game. #INDvNZ

Curious parallels btw the 2 india inns. Rahul quick 30s & out. Pujara Vijay 50s. Kohli fails. Rahane gets set & out. Rohit gets in #indvsnz

Ah nostalgia. Seeing a top order batsman not dragging his bat into the crease, and running himself out. Reminds me of Ganguly dada 😅
