India were huge favourites going into the Test series against England, with some even predicting a 5-0 win. However, the first Test at Rajkot not only eradicated that possibility after ending in a draw but also ridiculed the notion to an extent.
If anyone deserved to win the Test, it was England who put the Indians under huge pressure on day five after setting a target of 310.
There were a lot of nervous moments for the hosts as they lost as many as six wickets, before captain Virat Kohli and local lad Ravindra Jadeja battled through the final ten overs of the game.
Here, we collect the top tweets from the day’s play.
