  • Ahead of the second Test against Australia in Bengaluru, India captain Virat Kohli told reporters that all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the match due to a shoulder niggle.

Apart from Pandya, the other 15 players remain available for selection, but Kohli did not give any hints on what combination India will go with.

“Hardik Pandya is not available for selection. He has a niggle in his shoulder. So, he is not fit to be available for selection. Rest of them are,” said Kohli.

“Combination, I won’t let it out right now, but we do have two or three combinations that we are looking at. Not one set pattern and we will see accordingly what fits best.”

Earlier, Australian skipper Steve Smith had mentioned that he’s sure the Indian team are under pressure after the loss in Pune, but Kohli was quick to dismiss such suggestions.

“Me? Does it look like? I’m pretty relaxed, I’m happy, I’m smiling. It’s fine, it’s his views and whatever he wants to say,” added the Delhi batsman.
