During the series between India and Australia, we’ve seen a fair few words exchanged between both sets of players.
On Monday, it was the turn of Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Australian wicket-keeper Matthew Wade to swap a few words with each other on the field.
Jadeja was, at that time, frustrating the Australian team as his partnership with Wriddhiman Saha helped India take a crucial first innings lead in the match.
When asked about the incident in the press conference at the end of day’s play, the Saurashtra cricketer gave a funny reply.
“I was just saying ‘when you (Wade) will be free after the match when you lose, we can have dinner together’,” said Jadeja.
The 28-year-old has been one of India’s stars in the series and his 63 with the bat and three wickets with the ball helped the home side close in on a series victory.
India need 87 more runs to win the game, with all 10 wickets in hand.
