England recorded the highest ODI score in history as they made 481-6 against Australia in the third match of the five-match series at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Tuesday.
England openers Jason Roy (82) and Jonny Bairstow (139) gave the hosts a flying start. After Roy was run-out for 82, Bairstow registered his century in just 69 balls as the hosts took complete charge.
One-down batsman Alex Hales continued the onslaught as he slammed 147. England broke their own record of 444-3 set at the same venue.
In reply, the Aussies were bowled out for 239 in 37 overs with Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali picking up seven wickets between them for a 242-run win.
