11am – Build-up to day three of the second Test
With weather set fair at Lord’s in London, England could have a big day of first innings batting ahead as they look to put themselves in a strong position to win the second Test and go 2-0 up.
On Friday, India were bowled out for just 107 as James Anderson (5-20) led the England bowling attack and did most of the damage in swinging conditions in what has been a rain-interrupted Test so far.
The second Test at Lord’s is shaping up for a fine finale!
England‘s Chris Woakes hit his maiden Test century but Jonny Bairstow missed his by seven runs as the hosts finished the day on 357-6 for an overall lead of 250 against India.
Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir was fined 15 per cent his match fee for making an obscene gesture during the match against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Premier League.
Tanvir, playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors, bowled Patriots’ Cutting after being hit for a six. After castling Cutting with a yorker, Tanvir showed the departing batsman two middle fingers, which resulted in outrage on social media.
Left-arm quick Tanvir accepted the sanction that was handed down to him by match referee Denavon Hayles.
