    The 2018 Asia Cup drew to a close with a fitting finale at Dubai as India edged Bangladesh in a last-ball thrilled. For India, it was the perfect end to an unbeaten campaign despite missing skipper Virat Kohli’s services.

    Rohit Sharma’s excellent record as India captain continued with the team’s triumph in the Asia Cup final over Bangladesh on Friday. Following the thrilling last-ball win over the Tigers, Rohit credited stalwart and former skipper MS Dhoni for his leadership style.

    12:00pm – Dale Steyn ready for white-ball return

    Dale Steyn is eager to work his way into contention for South Africa’s 2019 ICC World Cup squad after being called up for the ODI series against Zimbabwe.

    The Proteas pacer last played an ODI for his country in October, 2016 but a spate of injuries over the last two years has seen him sidelined for a long time.

    11:00am – Kumar Sangakkara wants Angelo Mathews back in Sri Lanka’s limited-overs squad

    Sri Lanka stalwart Kumar Sangakkara has called for Angelo Mathews and head coach Chandika Hathurusingha to patch up their differences following the former’s ouster from the ODI and T20 squads.

    Mathews was asked to step down as Sri Lanka’s limited-overs skipper following the team’s group-stage exit in the Asia Cup. He was subsequently dropped from Sri Lanka’s limited-overs squads for the upcoming series against England.
