India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has enjoyed a meteoric rise in international cricket ever since he created a massive impact in the IPL with Mumbai Indians.
The 24-year-old fast bowler is currently the top ranked ODI bowler in the world and his unorthodox bowling action has flummoxed both batsmen and pundits alike.
Now, a five-year-old boy from Pakistan has attempted to copy Bumrah’s bowling action and going by video evidence, has nailed it. The video of the Pakistan youngster’s attempt to emulate Bumrah’s action has gone viral on social media, so much so that the India man took notice of it.

Bumrah took to Twitter on Sunday to give his thoughts on the viral video.
“As a kid, I remember how I used to copy the actions of my cricketing heroes. It’s a wonderful feeling to see kids copying my action today,” the Indian pacer wrote in his post.

Pundits and former players have expressed their concerns about the long-term sustainability of Bumrah’s bowling action given the massive strain it puts on his body.
However, the Baroda-born bowler disagrees and stated that no bowler in the world has a perfect bowling action.
“I don’t focus on what the experts are saying or not. I focus on what has helped me and I try to focus on my body and what do I need to keep myself fit. There is not a perfect action in cricket. Show me a bowler who has not got injured. I focus on how to improve my fitness level,” he had told Scroll recently.
