Pakistan have confirmed their standing as the No1 T20I team in the world with a thrilling 11-run victory over Australia in the second T20 in Dubai on Friday night.
A sharp performance in the field by Australia restricted Pakistan to just 147-6.
The pick for Australia were spinners Adam Zampa (0-21 off four overs) and D’Arcy Short (1-16 off three) who kept it tight with Nathan Coulter-Nile picking up some late wickets to finish with 3-18 off three.
While for Pakistan, who were coasting at 1-99 in the 13th over, opener Babar Azam top-scored with 45 off 44 balls, with Mohammad Hafeez contributing 40 off 34.
Despite some lusty late hitting by Glenn Maxwell (52 off 37 balls) and Nathan Coulter-Nile (27no off 17) Australia finished at 136-8 from their 20 overs, with Imad Wasim again the best for Pakistan going for just 8-1 off his four overs and Shadab Khan (30-2) and Shaheen Afridi (35-2) both picking up two wickets each.
