    Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Irfan and Yasir Shah were some of the Pakistan players who were snapped up in the player draft for the upcoming edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) held on Sunday.

    The trio will be among a total of seven Pakistan players who will turn out in the sixth edition of the BPL set to get underway on January 5, 2019.

    4:30pm – Virat Kohli in sight of Kumar Sangakkara’s record

    There will be plenty at stake for both teams when India and the West Indies lock horns in the fourth ODI at Mumbai on Monday. The two teams are tied at 1-1 in the five-match series after the Windies recorded a 43-run win in the third ODI at Pune.

    4:00pm – Spotlight on MS Dhoni ahead of Mumbai ODI

    As India and the West Indies head to Mumbai for the fourth ODI slated to be held on Monday, the spotlight will well and truly be on MS Dhoni’s batting. The veteran wicketkeeper batsman was dropped from India’s T20 outfit on Friday and his poor form with the bat in ODIs has been a major talking point for some time now.

    3:00pm – Mohammad Ashraful bags BPL contract after five years

    Former Bangladesh batsman Mohammad Ashraful has made a return to the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after being picked up by the Chittagong Vikings in the player draft held on Sunday.

    Only two months ago Ashraful had completed a five-year ban from cricket for match-fixing during the 2013 edition of the BPL.

    12:00pm – MS Dhoni reportedly told he has been dropped from T20 squad

    MS Dhoni’s exclusion from India’s T20 squad for the clashes against the West Indies and Australia was the biggest talking point when the teams were announced on Friday. Speculation had been rife over whether Dhoni had been dropped from the side or just been handed a rest.

    11:00am – AB de Villiers signs up with BPL outfit Rangpur Riders

    South Africa’s AB de Villiers has added to the star factor for the upcoming edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) by signing for the Rangpur Riders. The Proteas ace has become the franchise’s second overseas signing outside the player draft which is set to be held today.

    10:30am – Warner walks off the field over sledging

    David Warner walked off the field in protest over a “sledging incident” during a grade cricket match, according to reports in Australia.

    The 32-year-old batsman is currently serving a 12-month ban handed down by Cricket Australia for his part in the ball-tampering scandal on the tour of South Africa earlier this year.
