West Indies will bat first in the fifth and final ODI against India after skipper Jason Holder won the toss.

However, they have lost both their openers within the first two overs of the innings itself. Bhuvneshwar Kumar got the better of Kieran Powell while Jasprit Bumrah accounted for Shai Hope.

Following a brief stand between Rovman Powell and Marlon Samuels, Ravindra Jadeja struck by removing the latter in the 12th over of the innings. The left-arm spinner had his second victim when he trapped the dangerous Shimron Hetmyer plumb in front of the wickets.

The Windies lost their fifth wicket when Khaleel Ahmed dismissed Powell. Bumrah returned to dismiss Fabian Allen while Khaleel accounted for Holder as the Windies slumped to 87-7. The visitors were ultimately bowled out for 104 with Jadeja picking up the final two wickets.

In reply, India lost Shikhar Dhawan early in their chase of 105 but Rohit Sharma and Kohli have stitched a promising unbroken stand since. Rohit registered his half-century as India chased down the target inside just 15 overs to clinch the series 3-1.

The two sides lock horns for the final time in the five-match series at Thiruvananthapuram with the hosts currently leading by 2-1.

The visitors were dealt a big blow ahead of the clash with spinner Ashley Nurse ruled out of the entire tour with an injury. Devendra Bishoo takes his place in the playing XI while Chanderpaul Hemraj makes way for Oshane Thomas.

Virat Kohli, on the other hand, has gone in with the same playing XI that thumped the Windies by 224 runs in the fourth ODI.

Will India clinch their sixth successive bilateral ODI series win at home or will Holder’s men restore parity? Do not miss any of the action by following our ball-by-ball live coverage from Thiruvananthapuram below.
