    1:30pm – India’s Hardik Pandya nearing a return from back injury

    India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been asked to prove his fitness in a Ranji Trophy clash as he steps up his return from a back injury.

    According to a report from Sportstar, Pandya has been ruled out of the limited-overs leg of India A’s ongoing tour of New Zealand and has instead been asked to focus on the Ranji Trophy.

    1:00pm – Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas a doubt for decider against Kiwis

    Pakistan will most likely have to do without the services of Mohammad Abbas in the deciding Test against New Zealand with the seamer nursing an injured shoulder.

    Abbas had injured his shoulder while fielding in Pakistan victory by an innings and 16 runs in the second Test at Dubai.

    11:00am – Cricket Australia XI make India’s bowlers toil on day three

    It wasn’t the best of days for India on the field with Prithvi Shaw’s injury marring the third day’s play in the four-day warm-up clash against Cricket Australia XI at Sydney.

    Shaw suffered an ankle injury as India’s bowlers were made to toil by the hosts at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The hosts had posted 356-6 by the time stumps were drawn in response to the 358 posted by India in their first innings.

    10:00am – Prithvi Shaw ruled out of first Test against Australia

    India were dealt a big blow on Friday with young opening batsman Prithvi Shaw being ruled out of the first Test against Australia due to an ankle injury he sustained in the ongoing warm up game against Cricket Australia XI.

    The youngster injured himself on the third day of the tour match as he attempted to take a catch on the deep mid-wicket boundary.

    9:00am – Jofra Archer on the fast track for England selection

    Highly-rated fast bowler Jofra Archer will be eligible for England selection from next year after the qualification criteria was relaxed.

    Archer was born in Barbados to an English father but he did not arrive in the United Kingdom until after his 18th birthday in 2015, necessitating a seven-year residency period under the previous regulations.
