New Zealand have been dismissed for 157 in their first ODI against India in Napier.
The Black Caps won the toss and elected to bat but were in early trouble when Martin Guptill played on for five in the second over.
His opening partner Colin Munro also fell to Mohammed Shami for eight two overs later.
Kane Williamson steadied the ship with a 64, but the middle order failed to get going.
Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of India’s bowlers with four wickets, his last victim being Trent Boult who went for one to bring the Black Caps’ innings to an end after 38 overs.
