What a match that was in the IPL at the Wankhede stadium! Having set Kings XI Punjab a target of 187, Mumbai Indians looked all but out of it with KL Rahul going great guns once again. 9:00pm – Buttler and Stokes bid farewell to Rajasthan Royals
The English duo of Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes has departed Indian shores after being picked up in England’s squad for the first Test against Pakistan. The two Rajasthan Royals players have bid a fond farewell to the franchise and its fans upon their departure for London.
8:30pm – Pollard finds form as Mumbai Indians post 186-8

7:30pm – Sri Lanka Cricket announce 33 per cent increase in profits
Its been a dismal year on the field for the Sri Lanka cricket team but that hasn’t stopped the money from rolling one. The country’s board has announced a 33 per cent increase in profits in 2017 compared to that in 2016. Read more about this story here.
6:00pm – Kings XI Punjab bowl first against Mumbai Indians
In a crunch clash in the IPL, Mumbai Indians take on Kings XI Punjab at the Wankhede stadium. Both teams have a lot riding on the clash when it comes to their playoff hopes. 5:30pm – Royal Challengers Bangalore take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in must-win clash
Thursday in the IPL will see Royal Challengers Bangalore take on league-leaders Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chinnaswamy stadium. Virat Kohli’s men need to win the match at any cost if they are to keep their playoff hopes alive while Hyderabad have already confirmed their spot in the top-two. 4:30pm – Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed a relieved man following win over Ireland
Pakistan overcame Ireland by five wickets in the latter’s maiden Test match after a minor scare. Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed has expressed his relief as his side overcame their day five jitters to clinch victory at Dublin on Tuesday.
4:00pm – Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane picked in ICC World XI squad for West Indies T20
Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has become the latest addition to the ICC World XI squad which will take on West Indies in a T20 match at Lord’s later this month to raise funds for the stadiums damaged by the hurricanes in the Caribbeans region last year.
3:00pm – Jos Buttler the best among England players in IPL 2018
England’s Jos Buttler has been in sensational form in the IPL this season. The Rajasthan Royals batsman has hit five consecutive fifties in the tournament and that has led to a recall to the England Test team.
However, a few other English names have not quite lived up to their potential this season.

2:30pm – Will Mujeeb ur Rahman play against Mumbai Indians?
Kings XI Punjab will be hoping ace spinner Mujeeb ur Rahman recovers from his hand injury as they play Mumbai Indians in a crucial IPL match on Wednesday.
The spinner missed the previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

2:00pm – Why Ireland were competitive in their inaugural Test
Ireland put up a good fight in their inaugural Test against Pakistan after being asked to follow on.
Pakistan were reduced to 14-3 chasing 160 before fighting their way to a five-wicket win.

Kings XI Punjab need to recover quickly from their 10-wicket drubbing at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore as they take on Mumbai Indians in the IPL on Wednesday.
Kings XI skipper Ravichandran Ashwin won the toss and elected bowl first. For the visitors, Mujeeb ur Rahman missed out for the second match in row as he failed to recover from the injury sustained on his bowling hand. Veteran Yuvraj Singh was reinstated into the line-up as Karun Nair missed out.
The hosts were given a solid start from openers Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis before Andrew Tye tore through the top-order to reduce Mumbai Indians to 71-4. It took a 22-ball 50 from the returning Kieron Pollard to get Mumbai’s innings back on track as the hosts finished on 186-6 from their 20 overs. Tye was the pick of Kings XI’s bowlers as the Aussie pacer finished with excellent figures of 4-16 from his four overs.
In reply, Kings XI Punjab looked to be motoring alone to a comfortable win after a 111-run partnership for the second wicket between KL Rahul Aaron Finch. However, an inspired shore of death bowling from Jasprit Bumrah saw the hosts cling on to a three-run win to keep their playoff hopes well and truly alive. Rahul top scored for Punjab with 94 (60) while Bumrah was the star with the ball for Mumbai with figures of 3-15 from his four overs.
Jos Buttler’s recall to the England Test side was a bittersweet moment for the Rajasthan Royals. The IPL franchise are involved in a five-way race for two playoff spots but will miss the services of the Englishman for their remaining games.
Buttler has been almost single-handedly carrying the Royals with the bat with an incredible run of five consecutive half-centuries which came to an end in the side’s defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday.
That match turned out to be the opener’s last for the team as he departed for England to join up with the Test squad for the series against Pakistan.
In an emotional farewell message posted by Buttler on Instagram, the 27-year-old has praised the family atmosphere at the franchise.
“A massive thank you to everyone involved in the very special Rajasthan Royals set up! What an amazing few weeks in India with some fantastic memories made on and off the pitch. Such a great changing room to be a part of and incredible family feel the franchise have developed. Have loved my time with everyone and I will be watching on Saturday as we make it through to the play offs,” Buttler wrote on his Instagram post.

He isn’t the only England star to bid farewell to the team with all-rounder Ben Stokes too departing for London after being named in the Test squad.
Though Stokes did not have the best of tournaments with both bat and ball, he insisted that he had given it his all.
“Had a great time with Rajasthan Royals what a bunch of amazing people this franchise has, individually very disappointing but gave everything I had to give just wasn’t meant to be, hope we can get across the line tonight and make it through to the playoffs, would love to see these boys lifting the trophy at the end of the season as all the hard work put in by everyone deserves it,” Stokes wrote on his Instagram profile.
