The 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) season heads into day three with Rajasthan Royals hosting Kings XI Punjab on Monday.

As fans, it’s not just watching the action that’s there to look forward to but IPL fantasy games mean you have the opportunity to get involved as well.

As the IPL’s official partner, Dream11 runs a Daily Contest for each game apart from the default format which is conducted per round.

Here, we focus on helping you navigate your way through the former.

Without further adieu, here are our top options in each category for this encounter.

    BATSMAN

Chris Gayle – KXIP (10 credits)

His inconsistency is cause for concern but when he’s on song there’s no batsman more explosive. He excelled in the recent ODI series against England, hitting two tons and two half centuries and finishing with an average of 106. His performance in the two T20s that followed though was disappointing.

    BOWLER

    Andrew Tye – KIXP (9)

The Australian is the standout option in the bowling department having earned the purple cap last season, taking 24 wickets in 14 games. Tye’s variations could continue to catch out batsmen again this season.

    ALL-ROUNDER

    Ben Stokes – RR (9.5)

With Ben Stokes you can be certain you have an all-rounder who will be in the thick of things whether with the bat or ball. He’s coming off some good performances in the ODI series with West Indies earlier this month as well.

    WICKETKEEPER

    KL Rahul – KXIP (10)

A tough call between KL Rahul and Jos Buttler but the Indian gets the nod. Rahul may be the more reliable at the crease with his excellent technique and ability to pace his innings. Buttler is an explosive force but it’s worth having a look at how he gets on early in the tournament before backing him while Rahul still bettered him for runs and batting average last season.

Don’t wait too long though, the Englishman’s five consecutive fifties last season proved to be phenomenal for his fantasy owners. Rahul also has head-to-head form on his side, scoring 84 not out and 94 not out against Rajasthan last season.

    CAPTAIN – Chris Gayle

    VICE-CAPTAIN – KL Rahul
