The 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) season heads into match 25 with Rajasthan Royals taking on Chennai Super Kings on Thursday in what is the second meeting of the season between the two sides.

As fans, watching the action is not the only thing to look forward to – IPL fantasy games mean you have the opportunity to get involved as well.

As the IPL’s official partner, Dream11 runs a daily contest for each game apart from the default format which is conducted per round.

Here, we focus on helping you navigate your way through the form.

    BATSMAN

Faf du Plessis – Chennai Super Kings (9 credits)

South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis is the in-form batsman coming into the clash. The Proteas stalwart has taken no time to make an impact in the 2019 edition since being integrated into the Chennai playing XI with two innings of note already.

The veteran opener has registered scores of 54 and an unbeaten 43 in his two appearances for CSK so far and is looking in excellent touch. With Shane Watson blowing hot and cold at the other end, du Plessis is the safer pick.

The right-hander might not be the flashiest of batsmen but he delivers consistently without creating too much of a fuss.

    BOWLER

Imran Tahir – Chennai Super Kings (9 credits)

Faf du Plessis’ South Africa and Chennai team-mate Imran Tahir gets the nod with the ball in our Fantasy line up with the veteran leg-spinner still going strong at 40.

Tahir is second only to Delhi’s Kagiso Rabada in the wicket-taking charts for the 2019 edition with nine scalps so far in his six appearances. Along with his wickets, it has been his terrific economy-rate which has set Tahir apart with the leggie going at only 5.36 runs an over.

The pitch at Jaipur has something for the spinners as Shreyas Gopal’s success against RCB showed and Tahir could just be the man to exploit the conditions.

    ALL-ROUNDER

Ravindra Jadeja – Chennai Super Kings (8.5 credits)

The CSK all-rounder gets the nod in this department based on both form and a paucity of other options. There is Ben Stokes for competition but there is every chance the Rajasthan all-rounder could be dropped to make way for Ashton Turner.

As such, it makes sense to go with Jadeja despite the southpaw not really getting many opportunities with the bat so far. With the ball, however, Jadeja has more than delivered with five wickets which have come at an excellent economy-rate of just 5.60.

In the field, Jadeja is always in the thick of things and can be expected to take a few catches or effect a run-out. Anything with the bat is simply a bonus at this stage.

    WICKETKEEPER

Jos Buttler – Rajasthan Royals (10.5 credits)

The Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper-batsman gets our approval over MS Dhoni due to the advantage of playing at home. While the England batsman is yet to truly hit the heights he touched in the last edition, he has done more than a decent job so far in the current campaign and features among the top run-getters.

The explosive opening batsman has already registered two half-centuries in his five appearances with both of them coming on his home ground at Jaipur.

With Rajasthan under severe pressure to win, Buttler will once again be given the licence to go on the attack up the order.

    CAPTAIN – Jos Buttler

    VICE CAPTAIN – Imran Tahir
