  • Going strong: Abu Dhabi IHS under-13s beat Efians by five wickets yesterday.

Abu Dhabi Indian High School completed a Sport360° National School League double over Efians Army of the Emirates Future International Academy yesterday.

Before the U15s game, it was the IHS’ U13s who had laid the foundations for success by winning the first game at at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.

It was a good chase by Dr Sb Dey’s team who had been faced with a target of 110 for victory after Efians posted 109-5, Ayman top-scoring for them with an unbeaten 35.

IHS though surged to victory, thanks largely to the all-round contribution of man of the match Athul Murali.

After taking three wickets for just nine runs in his two overs, Murali took the fight to Efians with the bat too, scoring 30 runs off just 19 balls as his side chased down a daunting target.

Man of the match Arif hit an unbeaten 41 after earlier collecting a wicket.

The win was some relief for Merryland whose U15s team lost after their bus driver was late picking them up.
