  • On guard: Merryland International School's Moezz Rashid in action against ADIS players at the U-15 of the National School League at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.

This weekend sees the conclusion of group games in the National School League, with plenty of teams still eyeing qualification to the play-off and knock-out stages of the competition.

    #NSL360 Stick Cricket… It's here!

    Abu Dhabi – Under-13 Group

Abu Dhabi Indian School under-13s are top of the Abu Dhabi section and will automatically qualify for the next stage of the competition having won their opening four games convincingly.

Merryland International School and Efians Army will finish in second and third position, with Cambridge Panthers still having an outside chance of qualifying if all other group results work in their favour.

    Sharjah – Under-13 Group

Gulf Asian Challengers are the stand-out team in this section with four wins from four. They possess the most potent force in the competition, Thasin Rehman, who has hit 6 sixes and 30 fours to date.

Our Own Zenith look solid for a second place finish after comfortable wins against Ryanites and NIMS Rising Stars.

Ryanites have shown flashes of excellence and will go into this weekend's fixture against Gulf Asian Challengers as underdogs with a possibility of qualifying.

If Ryanites lose, Vikram Dutt's PAK Hawks team will seal third place.

    Dubai – Under-13 Group 1

GEMS Modern Academy have dominated the group and are automatic qualifiers for the next round of the competition.

Winchester Cobras are currently second after winning two of their three matches.

But the most exciting contest of the weekend is the winner-takes-all game between Ibrahim Riaz’s Deira Daredevils and JSS Blitz – with both teams bidding to claim third spot.

    Dubai – Under-13 Group 2

This group has a dead rubber weekend as no results will affect which team is going to progress to the next stages of the competition.

DPS Falcons lead the group comfortably, with DC Sixers and Indian High School aiming to take second and third place respectively.

At the bottom of the group, JSSIS Super Kings and Repton Royals play for pride with both sides yet to register a win.

    Abu Dhabi – Under-15 Group

Abu Dhabi Indian School and PAK Eagles serve up a thrilling contest this weekend: both teams are unbeaten and looking to secure direct entry into the knock-out stages.

ISC Abu Dhabi Unicorns will be aiming to hold onto third place and gain a spot in the play-offs when they face Efians Army.

    Sharjah – Under-15 Group

Delhi Private School Sharjah progress from this section as group winners having played their maximum four games.

Second and third positions are yet to be confirmed with PAK Hawks, Wesgreen Wolverines and Our Own Zenith battling it out for two play-off places.

    Dubai – Under-15 Group 1

Kyle Dawson's Jumeirah College Heat side have played the most consistent cricket in this section. A win against JSS Blitz this weekend will see them secure top spot.

Wellington International School Warriors cannot afford to let complacency get in the way of a second place finish – with both The Millenium School Dubai and JSS Blitz chasing them for a play-off position.

    Dubai – Under-15 Group 2

Dubai International Academy Wolves hold the club house lead but are being hunted by a very determined DPS Falcons team. Both teams should finish first and second respectively.

The crunch game in this group will see IHS Knights take on DC Sixers with the winner sealing the remaining play-off spot.
