Batting first, Zawar (69) and Qadir Nawaz (46) gave Ocean Fair a strong start with a brilliant opening stand of 116 runs.

Both were then sent back to the pavilion but their team-mates continued to pile on the runs as Arif Ali (51) and Wasi Ullah (43) kept the scoreboard ticking.

Clive Alfonso eventually grabbed six wickets for Challengers, but Shafaqat Ali stood firm to add a quick-fire 30 from six deliveries as Ocean Fair were all out for 280 in their 20 overs.

Set a mammoth target, Freddy Sidhwa and Farhat Khan were in lethal form with the ball, taking three wickets each as BM Challengers were all out for 129. Parvin D’Souza top-scored with 28.

Despite being on the losing side, there was something to smile for Alfonso, who was named Man of the Match for his 6-38 effort.

Having hit a low score in the final, Job was adjudged the Best Batsman of the tournament, while Khan and Farid received the Best Bowler and Best Player awards.
