  • Exactly what the doctor had ordered: Medeor 24x7 Hospital team.

In the Dulsco Ramadan tournament in Zabeel Park, Medeor scored a challenging total of 179-8 in their 20 overs, thanks largely to Bahuleyan’s entertaining fifty.

The batsman was in fine form with the bat, smashing 51 runs (four sixes and one maximum) from just 38 deliveries.

It was a vital knock from Bahuleyan, whose team had struggled after winning the toss.

After losing early wickets, opener Atiq Mahmood revived the innings with a 10-ball 33-run knock, which included four boundaries. After he was dismissed, Junaid Shamsu kept the scoreboard ticking with 21 from 10 balls.

Chasing a competitive target, Dulsco made a bright start with Mohammad Salauddin (9) and Laxman Manjrekar putting on 49 in just five overs before Salauddin became Harsad

    Abdul’s victim.

Still in with a chance of winning, Dulsco batsmen struggled against Medeor’s bowling attack.

Manjrekar continued to frustrate the bowlers but was sent back to the pavilion after scoring 57 from 37 balls. There was still time for Bahuleyan, who was later named man of the match, to showcase his bowling abilities by taking two wickets as Dulsco reached 164-8.
