Waheed Ahmed blasted 164 as Global Distribution posted a resounding 192-run victory over HSBC in the 13th Dulsco Ramadan tournament at Zabeel Park Cricket Ground in Dubai.
Global Distribution amassed 286-2 in 20 overs with Yousuf Butt contributing with 97.
In reply, HSBC were restricted 94-9, and saw their campaign come to a close with their third straight defeat.
Global Distribution, already in the quarter-finals, were 24-2 before the situation changed rapidly with the arrival of Ahmed at the crease.
Ahmed and Butt destroyed the HSBC attack with an unbeaten partnership of 262 runs for the fourth wicket.
Ahmed’s astonishing 164 (16 fours, six sixes) from 57 balls earned him the man of the match award.
HSBC found nothing going their way in the run chase with Syed Ashir and Adeel Ul Zaman each managing just 14 before their innings came to a halt nowhere near the required target.
Elsewhere, Emirates NBD sneaked past Radio 4 by 10 runs in a Group A match in the Aseel Islamic Finance 26th Sharjah Ramadan Cup.
Emirates NBD opener Taimur Khaleel provided the right start with 36 runs but by the time he went, NBD were 82-7.

In the chase, Radio 4 had their moments when they were cruising towards the target but lost too many wickets that slowed their run rate before reaching 118-6 at the close.
Also in Sharjah, Phoenix Medicine thrashed Al Jabeen by eight-wickets in the sixth Al Dhaid Ramadan tournament.
