The race for the only knockout spot in Dubai Pool Two is set to go to the wire as TMS Titans defeated DIA Wolves to put themselves in the mix.

With IHS Knights top of the standings with four wins out of four, only one team is set to join them in the last-eight round.

It seemed last season’s semi-finalists Wolves would win their encounter against Titans. Set 130 to win after MacNeil Noronha’s

unbeaten 45, Wolves were on course  to reach their target with the scoreline reading 105 after 16 overs.
With the run-rate increasing, Titans mounted the pressure and that showed as Wolves’ batsmen buckled and suffered three run-outs in their remaining four overs. They lost their four remaining wickets for 18 as Riddhesh Saraf finished with figures of 2-20.

The result puts Titans on six points along with Wolves and AUS Stallions, who lost by eight wickets to the Knights. Only run-rate separates the three sides with two games to play.

In the Under-13 category of Dubai Group Two, GOOIS held their nerve to defeat IHS Knights in a thriller.

Set 62 to win, Ebrahim Maqsood’s 20-run knock proved to be the difference as they sealed victory in the 14th over.
Deira Daredevils registered their second straight victory to move top of the standings, Jash Giyanani inspiring Daredevils to a 31-run win over WIS Wizards.

The bowler was in superb form, taking four wickets as Wizards, chasing 88, fell short scoring just 56. Siddharth Agarwal’s unbeaten 35 was enough to help

JSSIS Super Kings beat TMS Titans by 51 runs. In U-15 Pool One, Tushar Tugnait continued his fine form, scoring 50 as Modern Heros enjoyed a 32-run triumph over DPS Falcons. The opener struck five boundaries and three sixes as he helped his team score 148-6.

In reply, Falcons could only reach 116-7 with captain Aryan Lakra top-scoring with 26. The result ensured Modern Heros made it five wins out of five.

In the Under-13 section, Vriitiya Aarvind smashed two fours in his 44-run knock and helped JSS Blitz defeat Winchester Cobras by 23 runs.
