  • Opener Mohammad Shahzad hit a breathtaking 131 in Sharjah.

Opener Mohammad Shahzad set an Afghanistan ODI batting record as his stunning unbeaten 131 led his country to a four-wicket win and a 2-0 series lead against Zimbabwe.
Shahzad hit eight sixes on his way to posting the highest total by an Afghanistan batsman in a 50-over game, and survived the carnage that saw his side slip from 169 for one to 198 for six in the space of eight overs.

Peter Moor and Craig Ervine earlier both hit 50s as Zimbabwe posted 253 for seven, but their opponents surpassed the total with 14 balls to spare and now require one more win in the three remaining games to seal a series victory.
