Only three weeks to go FPL managers so it truly is crunch time if you have any chance of winning a league or finishing higher than your mates/rivals that are tinkering with their team at every possibility.

There are some tasty fixtures this weekend so there’s the potential to earn a flurry of points.

Here’s what’s in store for you in gameweek 36:

    WHO SHOULD I GET?

Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal have the most appealing fixtures. With the Gunners having two matches in the next week, you need to start thinking about bringing in one or two of their players.

Arsenal have two matches in gameweek 37

    THREE OPTIONS:

    • Swap one of your star names for an Arsenal player this week. E.g. Eden Hazard for Alexis Sanchez.
    • Swap an expensive player for a cheaper option to free up some funds for next week. E.g. Raheem Sterling for George Boyd (saves you 3.9m).
    • Save your transfer this week and use two next week and try and bring in two Gunners. Or one Arsenal man and a Sunderland player seen as though they have two matches as well. Jermain Defoe or Sebastian Larsson would be the best picks.

IS IT WORTH KEEPING CHELSEA PLAYERS?

Yes, but it’s certainly not worth having three in your fantasy football squad.

Jose Mourinho’s side have already sealed the Premier League title which makes you contemplate whether the squad will be rotated in the remaining three matches. The Blues might not have the same intent they had earlier in the season so fantasy league managers could miss out on some points with the side realistically having nothing to play for.

    Chelsea’s fixtures:

Diego Costa is set to return against Liverpool this weekend but Mourinho won’t want to rush the Spain international back like he did last time. Therefore, it’s likely Didier Drogba will feature in the remaining matches with it expected to be his final season in a Chelsea shirt.

We saw Juan Caudrado start last weekend against Crystal Palace so highly-rated youngster Kurt Zouma could also get the nod in some of the final fixtures. This is worrying for FPL managers because you don’t want one of your players to miss out.

    Who should I keep?

Keep one midfielder – either Cesc Fabregas or Eden Hazard.

However, it’s not worth having them both because an Arsenal or Manchester City midfielder is a better option. The best replacements that spring to mind are Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla or David Silva, although Aaron Ramsey reminded the world about his scoring ability at the weekend.

    Who should I sell?

    A Chelsea defender/ Thibaut Courtois.

If you don’t have any Arsenal defenders or David Ospina between the sticks you are going to miss out on some key points. The likes of Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin are cheap compared to John Terry, Cesar Azpicuelta and Branislav Ivanovic and they have a higher chance of achieving more clean sheets than their London rivals.

    Arsenal fixtures:

The Gunners have three home matches and are still battling to achieve a Champions League place so have everything to play for. Although Chelsea have the most unyielding defence in the league, they still have to host Liverpool which is usually a goal-fest, travel to West Brom and finish the season against Sunderland who could be fighting for their Premier League status. Far from easy matches…
