Dubai Polo Gold Cup reaches classy conclusion at Arabian Ranches

  • Teams will be battling for the Bentley Cup Final and Julius Baer Gold Cup Final

    Enjoy the final weekend of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup 2015 by taking in world-class polo and a day of nonstop entertainment.

    Held tomorrow (Friday) at the Polo & Equestrian Club, Arabian Ranches in Dubai, the premier polo competition comes to a thrilling conclusion with teams vying for the Bentley Cup Final and Julius Baer Gold Cup Final.

    Polo won’t be the only thing offered on the day, with the setting perfect for a day out in the sun.

    A picnic area on the lawn will have stunning views of the polo action while guests enjoy meals and socialise.

    For youngsters, a kids zone will have a host of fun activities for all-day entertainment.

    Guests who want more luxury can experience VIP and the Gold Lounge, which will have local and international DJs, an elegant setting, adult beverages and a tent with an international buffet.

    Throughout the afternoon, guests will be treated to cheerleader performances, an acrobatic performance, a camel show and a skydive show.

    Fashion enthusiasts can take in the fashion show hosted by Iman Lopez with her exclusive collection 3Prive Couture in the Gold Lounge.

    There will also be an award given out for Best Dressed Lady by OK! Middle East following the prize-giving ceremony for the tournament.

    The festivities will continue in the evening with a party in the Gold Lounge, before the night winds down at the Official Polo Party at XL Beach Club in Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa.

    Going for the trophies on the field will be Mahra Polo and Abu Dhabi Polo in the Bentley Cup Final, along with Bin Drai Polo and Zedan Polo in the Julius Baer Gold Cup Final.

    To reach their respective finals, Mahra won 9-8 against Desert Palm 2, Abu Dhabi Polo defeated defending champions Ghantoot Polo 8-7, Bin Drai handled UAE Polo 8-3 and Zedan Polo edged Julius Baer Team 7-6 in the semi-finals.

    Zedan Polo feature Pablo MacDonough, who ranks fourth in the tournament with 11 goals.

    Gates will open to the public at 10:00, with the Bentley Cup Final at 13:30 and the Julius Baer Gold Cup Final at 16:30.

    Shuttle buses will run from Habtoor Grand Hotel to the Polo Club will run every hour from 11:00 to 14:00, with returns at 20:00, 21:00 and 22:00.
