Godolphin mopped up the three maiden events at a wet Kempton with a trio of favourites – Power Game, Mise En Rose and City Chic.

Power Game (8-11), whose three previous runs had all come at the Sunbury venue, had no trouble opening his account in the betdaq.com £20 Free Bet Maiden Stakes.

James Doyle soon had the Saeed bin Suroor-trained gelding, who made his seasonal debut just 19 days earlier, in front and won virtually unchallenged by four lengths from Esteemable.

Doyle said: “It will do him good to get his head in front. He’d showed a solid level of ability at two. He’d had a little break and came back here first run and ran well.

“This was a weaker race and we expected him to win how he did. He’s off a mark of 80. If he stays on that he should be competitive.”

The two divisions of the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Fillies Stakes belonged to trainer Charlie Appleby and jockey William Buick.

Mise En Rose (6-4) saw off newcomer Barleysuger by a length in division one, while City Chic (5-6) had to be driven right out to hold Pure Happiness, ridden by Doyle, in the same colours in the second leg.

Fair Comment (7-1) got her head in front for the first time in 12 months in the hands of Martin Harley when seeing off Saint Helena by a length and a quarter in the Racing UK Anywhere Handicap.

“Martin gave her a great ride and everything went according to plan,” trainer Michael Blanshard told Racing UK.

“We could bring her back here, or Lingfield is fine. I would like to run her on the grass now the ground has changed.”

Richard Hannon’s Premier Currency (9-4), a winner over this mile trip a week ago, followed up with a neat length-and-a-half success under Pat Dobbs in the betdaq.com 50 Per Cent Commission Refund Nursery Handicap.

Classical Rose (7-4 favourite) gamely fought off Flashy Diva to lift the Cash Out On The Betdaq App Handicap by a neck for trainer Charlie Fellowes and jockey Freddie Tylicki.

Jeremy Noseda’s Aussie Andre (8-1) edged out Prescience by a head to strike under Jimmy Fortune in the Download Free Trading Software On betdaqtraders.com Handicap.
