James Rodriguez is hoping for “great success” at Bayern Munich after joining the Bundesliga champions on loan from Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old Colombia international, who moves to Bayern on a two-year loan deal, is in Munich to undergo a medical and officially sign for the club.
He told FC Bayern.tv: “I’m very happy and looking forward to being at a huge club and in a great team.
“Everyone knows what FC Bayern stands for and what the club is about.
“It’s a new culture, a new club, a new life. But I’m really fired up, I’m dreaming big, and I’m hoping for great success here.”

Chelsea and Manchester United had been linked with a move for Rodriguez this summer but it had been reported that Real were asking for around £70million for the player.
Rodriguez is set to link up with the Bayern squad and travel with his new team-mates on the club’s tour of China and Singapore.
Bayern, who are managed by former Real boss Carlo Ancelotti, will have the option to buy the attacking midfielder in 2019.
After completing the deal for Rodriguez, Bayern allowed Douglas Costa, who they signed two years ago from Shakhtar Donetsk in a €30million move, to leave the club and join Juventus.
The 26-year-old Brazil winger underwent his medical in Turin today.
