    KARIM BENZEMA

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to cash in on French striker Karim Benzema, according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol.

Having made a sound return on the €35million outlay spent on the striker in 2009, Perez is ready get back most of that investment while he can as he looks to finance a move for Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappe.

    RATING: 6/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Mbappe is going to cost north of €130million and even for cash-rich Real Madrid that’s a transfer which will need to be balanced by a big sale.

Benzema had an average season by his standards and as his 30s approach this is arguably their best time to sell up. Plenty of parties will be interested in taking the Frenchman with Liverpool said to be chief among them but it will all come down to the money.

    KYLIAN MBAPPE AND ALEXIS SANCHEZ

Manchester City want to end their summer with a bang by signing either Alexis Sanchez or Kylian Mbappe, the Daily Mail reports.

Pep Guardiola has overhauled his squad with much of the focus on strengthening his backline but the City boss will bolster his attacking talents with either the £50million-rated Chilean or the £100million+ Mbappe.

    RATING: 7/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Sign either of these two names and City will run AC Milan close to doing the best business this summer. Mbappe seems like a stretch as it seems predetermined he will join Real Madrid. Sanchez on the otherhand could come to fruition.

If the wage demands of £500,000 per week do not deter City, then it’s a logical move for a player who wants to leave and is into the final of year of his current contract.

    SERGI ROBERTO

Chelsea are willing to pay Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto’s €40million release clause, according to Sport.

After Danilo joined Manchester City, Antonio Conte is in the market for a new full-back and will make a move for the 25-year-old.

    RATING: 5/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Barca may want to revisit the release clauses inserted into their player’s contracts! A utility player, he featured 40 times in all competitions for Barca last season but a homegrown talent it remains to be seen if they would want him to leave.

Still, if the release clause is true, they would be powerless to stop the move but it seems a big fee, even in this market, for ultimately a squad player.
