Algerian player Karim Matmour was involved in a physical fight with his teammate at Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Bayern Munich training camp recently witnessed a brawl between Robert Lewandwoski and Jerome Boateng which emphasised the mini-crisis that the Bavarians have been facing recently.

However, this brawl is not exactly a novelty in the football world as numerous clubs and teams have suffered from tussles and assaults.

Mario Balotelli vs Roberto Mancini

One of the most infamous clashes happened in Manchester City when Mario Balotelli and his ex-coach Roberto Mancini got physical during a training session.

The incident only highlighted the fact that Balotelli is a hopless case and simply cannot be controlled.

KARIM AL ZIANI vs EDIN DZEKO (Wolfsburg)

Algerian star Karim Al Ziani had a troublesome stint at Wolsburg, and his spell in Germany is perhaps best remembered by the fact that he came to blows with Eden Dzeko at the start of the season.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC vs OGUCHI ONYEWU (AC Milan)

Onyew (pictured) did not allow Zlatan to miss with him.

The legendary status of the mighty Zlatan Ibrahimovic slipped somewhat when things got heated between him and Oguchi Onyewu. Both were playing together in AC Milan in 2010, and they ended up throwing punches at each other. An official club statement confirmed the incident but mentioned that the two players made peace.

LUIS SUAREZ vs MARTIN SKRTEL

ARJEN ROBBEN vs PHILIPP LAHM

Arjen Robben was on the receiving end of a harsh tackle from Philipp Lahm in training, and reacted rather angrily as he pushed the full-back. Team-mates intervened, though, to separate the pair.

THOMAS GRAVESEN vs ROBINHO

Danish beast Thomas Gravesen came to blows with ex-teammate Robinho in Real Madrid training, and it was bound to get ugly.

JOEY BARTON vs OUSMANE DABO (Manchester City)

Dabo's injury.

Joey Barton has always been a rather aggressive character, but his tussle with Ousmane Dabo was perhaps the pinnacle of his antagonism.

Barton sucker-punched Dabo and then continued to punch and kick him as he was lying on the ground. Dabo had to be admitted to the hospital and almost lost sight in his eye, while Barton was arrested and sentenced to prison for seven months.

CARLES PUYOL vs VICENTE (Spain)

Former Spain captain Carles Puyol was involved in a rather insane scuffle with Spanish trickster Vicente.
