  • Ajman boss Abdulalwab Abdulqadir believes his side is well-equipped for another positive showing in the Pro League next season.

The Orange Brigade lost lively winger Hassan Maatouk but appear to have more than made up for that by signing 25-year-old Iraq midfielder Karrar Jassim and Malian striker Founeke Sy.

Abdulqadir said: “We have a good team, just like last season. The signings we have made are very successful.”

Abdulqadir believes his side will have to hit the ground running if they hope to make an impact like last season. “Last season we started well and that’s why we were able to keep that momentum going throughout the season,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dibba Fujairah have completed their foreign quota by bringing attacking midfielder Luiz Fernando from Figueirense.

The 23-year-old Brazilian joins compatriots Alex, who arrives on a 10-month long loan spell from Brazil giants Botafogo, and Aluisio da Silva Neres Junior, a defender already retained by the club.

As far as the fourth Asian player goes, Dibba have signed Syria international midfielder Abdul Razak Al Hussain from Iraqi side Erbil FC.
