  • Long-servant of AGL: Ciel.

Arabian Gulf League champions Al Ahli’s foreign quartet could be much changed for next season after veteran Ciel returned to Ceara and reports linked record-buy Moussa Sow to Crystal Palace.

A five-and-a-half-year stay in the UAE ended for Ciel, 34, once his contract expired this summer. After problems with a medical torpedoed a switch to Al Wahda, he was pictured training with the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B outfit yesterday with whom he previously experienced three short stints from 2007-09.

The forward was originally brought to the UAE by Al Shabab in January 2011, prior to an August 2013 move to Rashid Stadium alongside UAE defender Walid Abbas.

Another player who could be on the move from Ahli is Senegal star Sow. French sports daily L’Equipe has reported talks have begun to bring the Dh71m buy to the Pre- mier League on loan after just one season with the Red Knights.

The 30-year-old has emerged as a target for Palace as they seek to rev- amp a frontline which has already seen Dwight Gayle and Emmanuel Adebayor depart.
