Wasl properties has announced that it has signed an eight-year sponsorship deal with Al Wasl Football Club.

The property management company, one of Dubai’s largest real estate companies and part of wasl Asset Management Group, has teamed up with the renowned sporting institution as a part of its ongoing CSR commitment that supports community activities throughout Dubai.

Under the main terms of the contract, which continues up until the official final day of the 2021/2022 Arabian Gulf League football season, Wasl properties will be the Premier sponsor for Al Wasl FC.

The organisation will have its logo carried on the club’s promotional material and digital platforms, including its website and social media applications. Wasl properties will be highlighted on media banner backdrops at the club’s domestic fixtures, as well as be promoted on its stadium’s electronic advertising boards during matches.

“Our new partnership with Al Wasl Football Club is the perfect opportunity for us to spread the message that we support sport and physical activity, which are key to the health of the nation,” said “Abdalla Obaidalla, Chief Operating Officer, Wasl Asset Management.

“Al Wasl Football Club is one of the region’s best known and most successful soccer clubs and teaming up with them reflects wasl’s ambition to be an ambassador for health and vitality in the community we operate in.”

Al Wasl FC makes its home in the multi-sports centre, Al Wasl Sports Club and plays in the UAE’s Arabian Gulf League.

The club is one of the most successful in the country and has one of the largest fan bases in the region. Its history of sporting achievement reached a zenith in the 1990s when it was crowned ‘Club of the 20th Century in the UAE’ by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS), thanks to its impressive performance in Continental Tournaments.

“We are fully aware of wasl properties’ leading real estate activities in the UAE and this new partnership puts two great ‘wasl’ names together to promote sporting prowess,” said Ashraf Ahmad Mohammed, CEO, Al Wasl FC.

“Wasl properties’ sponsorship provides us with the support we need in developing our club and sets a new standard in sponsorship that we hope will act as an enticement for other premium local organisations to follow."

Wasl's sponsorship of Al Wasl FC is the latest initiative in its extensive CSR programme that covers the communal spectrum in Dubai.

The organisation is engaged in a host of activities that support education, healthcare, special needs and regional culture in the emirate.
