  • Griezmann committed his future to Atletico this summer.

While the Neymar-to-PSG saga might look as never-ending for now, Barcelona are eyeing French striker Antoine Griezmann as his replacement, according to Marca.

The Atletico Madrid forward has a release clause of 100 million euros and decided to stay with the Red and Whites following interest from Manchester United, despite Atletico’s inability to strengthen in the transfer market because of a FIFA ban.

Barca have been linked to Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho and Juventus’ Paulo Dybala as players to fill the potential void left by Neymar’s departure, but both would come at a premium, possibly more than the Frenchman.

But now with Neymar being heavily linked to French giants Paris Saint-Germain, more so after his training ground fight with Nelson Semedo, Barca could launch a move to sign the Atleti hitman.

Griezmann was the fifth highest goalscorer in La Liga last season, with 16 goals and eight assists and Diego Simeone knows replacing him would be a tough ask.
