Barcelona players had every reason to smile and enjoy the festivities during the club’s parade through the streets of Catalonia to celebrate a La Liga and Copa del Rey double, but Andres Iniesta appeared to keep his emotions in check.
It may be a stretch to say Iniesta looked sad, but the club legend certainly wasn’t grinning from ear to ear or getting caught up in the party atmosphere.
It’s possible the 33-year-old was soaking it all in and feeling a little bittersweet as his storied career with the Spanish giants comes to an end after 22 years.
