Liverpool are reportedly chasing Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele – the world’s second-most expensive player of all time – who has spent just one season at Camp Nou.
According to The Sun, Jurgen Klopp’s men have admired the 20-year-old for a long while and want to offer him the chance to play in the Premier League.
Injury has disrupted Dembele’s maiden campaign at the Spanish giants but the Blaugrana faithful have seen glimpses of the form and talent that convinced Barca to shell out £135.5 million for his services last summer.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool or indeed any other side could rustle up funds equating to anywhere near that amount, nor have Barcelona hinted at all that they wish to sell him.
