Barcelona unveil 2018-19 home kit

La Liga and Copa del Rey champions Barcelona have unveiled their new home kit for the 2018-19 season.

The jersey features the iconic blue and garnet coloured stripes, and is designed to unite the 10 districts of the city of Barcelona.

Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho was present during the presentation of the jersey atย the Olympic swimming pools on Montjuic hill.

Meanwhile, Ernesto Valverde‘s men will be facing Real Sociedad in their last game of the 2017-18 season, which will also be Andres Iniesta‘s final fixture as a Barca player.

Andres Iniesta will leave Barcelona after a legendary career.

Andres Iniesta will play his final game for Barcelona against Real Sociedad on Sunday.

The club legend though was given aย farewell by Barca’s past, present and future stars on Friday.

Samuel Eto’o andย Xavi Hernandez were among the stars that attended the 34-year old’s farewell, along with Barca’s current stars including Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez who hadn’t attended his exit announcement earlier.

Sergi Roberto was handed a red card in El Clasico.

Barcelona‘s appeal against Sergi Roberto’s controversial red card in El Clasico has been turned down.

The right-back was slapped with a four-game ban after an incident involving him and Real Madrid star Marcelo during the 2-2 draw.

Roberto has already missed two games for the La Liga winnersย โ€“ against Villarreal and Levante, but the Spanish FA’s Appeals Committee’s decision now means he will have to sit out for the next two games as well.

He is expected to not play a part in Barca’s final league game against Real Sociedad andย the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Sevilla next season.

Barca though, can still appeal to theย Court of Arbitration for Sport in the next 15 days.
