    Barcelona are busily preparing for their next game as Ernesto Valverde’s side go in search of a first win in three outings.

    The Blaugrana needed an 84th minute Munir El Haddadi goal to rescue a 1-1 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, a result which came on the back of a 2-1 defeat at La Liga’s bottom side, Leganes, in midweek, while Barca drew 2-2 with Girona prior to that.

    Valverde’s side now face a tricky trip to Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday, with Barca desperately in need of victory.

    Manchester City are said to be plotting a world-record £200million raid for Kylian Mbappe in January.

    Pep Guardiola believes the 19-year-old, who has also been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona, can take the club to Champions League glory.

    Barcelona endured a third successive La Liga game without a win on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao.

    The Catalans struggled to get going in the first half but were a different team when chasing the game in the second.

    Lionel Messi denied Barcelona might be suffering a case of the jitters after dropping points for the third successive league game.

    The reigning champions came into Saturday’s visit of Athletic Bilbao having been held 2-2 at home by Girona last weekend and surprisingly beaten 2-1 by lowly Leganes in midweek.
