  • Luis Suarez is aware that despite the 3-0 score-line, Barcelona were not at their best against Real Madrid in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

The Catalan giants are still alive in all three competitions, but need to work on a lot of aspects if they are to win a treble.

The Uruguayan was vocal about the presence of pros and cons in El Clasico, but maintained that the team achieved a key objective by reaching the finals.

“We’ve achieved one of the objectives that we set at the start of the season,” Suarez told TVE, according to Marca.

Suarez stated that they were aware that scoring one goal would prompt Madrid to push men forward and hence leave the visitors with lots of space.

“We knew that if we scored, then they would push forward and we would have more space,” he added.

“Matches always have their pros and cons; we didn’t play the way that we wanted, but that’s what matches are like.”
