Reports have emerged suggesting that Barcelona could be sporting a fourth jersey in the 2019/20 season.

SPORT report that a new kit sporting a variation of the strip used by Barcelona in 2014, which had the colours of the Catalan flag incorporated, will be used as the fourth kit next season.

Guifre el Pilos – the founder of Catalonia – passing his bloody fingers over the golden badge after the battle will be featured on the new kit.

The fourth kit will be donned by the Catalan team in important games, such as the El Clasico at Santiago Bernabeu and crucial Champions League fixtures.

Barcelona’s kit sponsors Nike have worked on the kit, but it is yet to be approved.

The first team strip next season will be a shift from tradition as Barca prepare to don the Blaugrana colours, but with squares similar to the Croatian national team’s jersey.

The second kit will be yellow, with a Blaugrana stripe and the third kit will be green.
