    1. RIYAD MAHREZ (LEICESTER) – 7.38

Mahrez continued his remarkable form this season in a stunning display against Manchester City that handed Leicester the ascendancy in the Premier League title race.

The Algerian set up his team’s first goal and scored their second and has now directly contributed to 24 goals in the league for the Foxes.

If Mahrez can sustain this kind of form for three more months then Leicester will likely pull off one of the most stunning league title wins in history.

    2. KIERAN TRIPPIER (TOTTENHAM) – 7.32

The Spurs right-back scored the only goal of the game against Watford, delivering his side a clean sheet and all three points in the process.

Spurs conceded just 19 goals in 25 games so far this season and have the best defence in the league.

Tripper, who has only just returned from injury, will be delighted to have played his part in shaping the backbone to the North London club’s inspired form.

    3. PETR CECH (ARSENAL) – 7.29

The Arsenal stopper denied Bournemouth time and again as his side went on to win 2-0 on the South Coast and return the Gunners to third place in the table.

Bournemouth were in the match for large parts and were it not for Cech, the result would not have looked as comfortable as the scoreline suggests.

Cech now has 11 clean sheets in 24 outings in the league this season.

    4. ROSS BARKLEY (EVERTON) – 7.25

Ross Barkley bossed the midfield for Everton against Stoke City as the Merseyside club ran riot at the Britannia Stadium.

The 22-year-old England midfielder was lively throughout and despite not being required to score or assist, his driving presence was there for all to see.

Barkley has scored eight goals and has seven assists in the league so far and is going about positioning himself as a key member of Roy Hodgson’s Euro 201 squad.

    5. ROBERTO FIRMINO (LIVERPOOL) – 7.19

The Brazilian sparkled in the second half against Sunderland, grabbing a goal and an assist.

Firmino’s threat looked to have put the game beyond doubt, but for Liverpool to somehow throw away their lead and leave Anfield with just a draw despite being two goals to the good.

He has now been directly involved in 11 goals for Liverpool since signing in the summer, and he appears to be hitting form at the right time. If only his defenders would to the same…
