  • Manchester United have reportedly banned Paul Pogba from playing basketball as they continue to monitor his recovery from a hamstring injury.

The Frenchman enjoys playing basketball in his free time, but the club are concerned that he could aggravate his injury, which manager Jose Mourinho has already deemed as “long-term”.

The 25-year-old has missed the last five games after suffering the injury in the early stages of the Red Devils’ Champions League opener against FC Basel last month.

He is not likely to feature in any of the club’s fixtures in October, which include crunch matches against Liverpool away and Spurs at home, as well as a Champions League doubleheader against Benfica.

Meanwhile, the midfielder updated fans about his recovery by posting a workout video on Instagram, deeming his regime a “Bruce Lee-style” workout.
