  • Mohamed Salah is fast becoming a legend for his on-field goalscoring feats at Liverpool, with the Kop having already created catchy songs to celebrate his exploits.

And now, he’s winning plaudits for the work he does off the pitch too.

The latest example came when Oscar Bridson, a young Reds fan, living on the Isle of Man, was given a homework assignment to use words ending in “ng”.

The first word Oscar thought of was “king” and particularly the new King of the Kop, and his favourite player, Egyptian superstar Salah.

He then took it a bit further deciding to include the “Mo Salah” chant in his homework and drew Salah with a crown and a pyramid.

His mum Sarah-Marie, also a proud Liverpool fan, was pleased as punch with her son’s effort and shared a picture of it on Twitter with the words: “Oscar took his homework to another level tonight.”

The tweet took off and attracted the attention of Salah himself who tweeted back a week later: “Looking forward to meeting Oscar soon.”

In the interim Salah had discovered that Oscar had suffered with serious illness, having three airway surgeries over the last year so he had asked the club to help Oscar and his mum attend the West Ham game at Anfield.

Not surprisingly Oscar had the greatest day of his young life as Liverpool won 4-1 and Salah himself scored yet another goal.

    Afterwards Sarah-Marie shared Oscar’s delight.

With charitable acts like this its’ no wonder Salah is quickly becoming one of Liverpool’s most popular players.

There seems to be no wrong that Salah can do at the moment on and off the pitchy and Reds fans are hoping long will it continue.
