  • Mohamed Salah has been the best forward in the Premier League season – and throughout he’s done it with a smile.

The ‘Egyptian King’ leads the list of players – excluding goalkeepers – who have made the most Premier League appearances without picking up even one yellow card.

Salah, of course, has very few defensive duties to take care of with Liverpool as a forward but in an era where dissent and diving is commonplace, it speaks for the 25-year-old’s sterling character.

Huddersfield winger Tom Ince is joint-top with Salah, though the Englishman has started 25 games to the Liverpool man’s 28 (a special number – it’s also the amount of EPL goals Salah has scored). Both have had 30 top-flight run-outs, in total.

Tottenham duo Son Heung-min (29 games) and Christian Eriksen (28 games) have also remained in the referees’ good books, as well as Chelsea forward Willian (29 games).

Special mention must go to Charlie Daniels, who is the only defender to appear on the list. The Bournemouth full-back has started 27 out of 28 games and only committed seven fouls in the process.
