Xherdan Shaqiri returned to Liverpool‘s starting line-up having been left at home for the midweek Champions League defeat to Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.
He was one of four changes as Joe Gomez, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino also came in for Adam Lallana, James Milner, Joel Matip and Daniel Sturridge.
Captain Jordan Henderson returned as a substitute after missing the last four matches with injury.
Fulham, as expected, were missing Kevin McDonald and Joe Bryan because of hamstring injuries.
